Bingo, Community, and Heart: Highlights from Our 2025 Fundraiser

Joanne and Tony Saldana Bingo Night 2025

Our 2025 Bingo Night fundraiser was the most successful since the pandemic, raising a total of over $166,000 — thanks to generous donors and bingo players. We hosted over 200 supporters, and we had the largest array of silent auction items ever.

The buzz word of the evening was “enjoyable.” Partygoers had a good time, with 100% of the proceeds going to our programs and families. Our board of directors underwrites the cost of the evening. Players took part in 25 bingo games. Every year, our bingo games get better and we can’t wait until next year’s event.

Unlike most parties in Los Angeles, this one always starts on time. Over 30 people were waiting for our doors to open.  DJ Cecila had her sound system playing cheerful tunes at 5:00 pm on the dot.  The silent auction tables were filed with 78 items, including several trips that were purchased.  Thanks to those who bid and purchased the jewelry, gifts and trips.

Ellen Johnston was honored for your years of service and governance guidance. Board member Joanne Saldana was applauded for her decorations and theme — “Our House has Heart.”

Thank you to Saint Cyril of Jerusalem Parish and Rev. Danny Guinto for hosting  us again this year.  For more about the nights agenda, our mission, and some of the people that make it possible, check out the evenings program.
