Our Executive Director
Jennifer Gaeta, SSS, LCSW, has over 38 years of nonprofit management experience in Los Angeles County, 27 of which have been spent as the Executive Director of LAHR. Her earlier nonprofit management experience includes positions as the Executive Director of the Chris Brownlee Aids Hospice and the Executive Director of the Regis House Community Center. Ms. Gaeta has also held supervisory, direct-service, and clinical positions at St. John’s Child Study Center, Los Angeles County Mental Health Clinic, Stella Maris Adult Day Treatment Program, and Camp Mariastella.
Ms. Gaeta holds a Master’s Degree in Social Welfare from The University of Southern California, and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Additionally, she has a certification in Art Therapy from the College of Notre Dame, and a Masters Degree in Feminist Spirituality from Immaculate Heart College Center, as well as a Doctorate Degree in Ministry from The Graduate Theological Foundation.
Ms. Gaeta provides LAHR with the professional management skills as well as the practical personal relation and counseling background necessary to understand the sensitivities involved in our organization. She has extensive experience in the operation of programs addressing the needs of families, property development, fund development, and program development as related to programs for homeless families. She also supervises all lead personnel, meets with the Board of Directors, and is responsible for contract negotiation, fundraising, and public relations.
